Hi,
I just got my 42PZ80U.
When I watch SD content, I get the black bars on the side even when I use Zoom mode. I heard on this forum that black bars are really bad in the 1'st 100 hours. What settings should I use to either
1. Look at SD content without bars?
2. Get grey bars if 1 is not possible?
Also, what are the optimum settings for viewing SD content?
Thanks,
Arvind
most plasmas have a setting to stretch the pic to full width. i think panasonic calls it "JUST"..this gives a non- uniform pic (more stretched on sides, almost normal near the middle. if this bothers you try wide...that just fills the full screen.

None of the settings are able to get rid of the black bars with SD content. I've tried Just, Full, Zoom and 4:30 (the only options). I don't have a wide option when I use the format buttin on the remote, should I use some other menu to access this?
what is your input type equipment and type? a set-top box box (stb)? how is it connected to the tv? hdmi or component?
