I purchased this antenna through e-bay and received it new, in original box, today. However, the amplifier doesn't work. I went to radio shack and tried another AC adapter of the same power rating, and the amp still did not turn on. Rather than return it, I'd prefer to repair it if possible as these antennas are extremely hard to find. Does anyone have any experience in troubleshooting power problems like this an antenna, or point me to resources that might help me fix this problem?

It looks like you've been ripped off. It is not usual for some outfits to dump returned defective merchandise on ebay.

Make sure the AC adapter supplied was the correct one. According to the photos I see on ebay it needs 12 volts DC @ 200mAh positive tip. If the voltage and/or polarity is wrong it will either not work or fry the circuits.

Yeah, it came with a radio-shack A/C adaptor, 12V at 200mAh. I just got a lemon, I guess :(

I'm in that way, lucky then because I got mine 1880 antenna via the same exact way and it's working fine.
