Specific question here. Rented it when it came out last Tues. (questionable on whether it was woth a "blind buy"). As it was a "family movie" I got the kids together and loaded up my Panny DMP 10 for some "eye candy".

After lots of disk noise (a common trait of this player) it came up with an error and would not play. The firmware was updated just a few weeks back and only had 1 other disk not load (Fantastic 4 ). The disk looked new and no scratches or smudge (it was just put out). I put in the S1 and after the usual 2 minutes of "java load" it played flawlessy (and looked AWESOME).

Any other issues playing this movie?

Edit- moved over to hardware as suggested

I'd try the hardware forum, they are better for these issues.

No problem with the BD30.

I just watched it on my BD-P1000, with the latest firmware update (1.6, I believe). For a WB title with VC-1/DD and the standard menu system, it took abnormally long. However, the disc did play through just fine! I don't have any experience with Panasonic players (though I'd like to get the DMP-BD35, if it really does decode DTS-HD MA).
