Can anyone tell me if they think the magnets in my B&K AV125.7 are large enough, strong enough and close enough to my rear projection TV to effect the image.
I put in a new AV rack earlier this spring and I've been noticing that there are pink and blue shadows around text images on my screen. Particularly on the right side of the screen (where the AV rack is). Is it possible my amplifier is causing this, or is this most likely a TV that's 6 years old that's the main culprit?
Thanks,
Ryan:confused:

6 year old? CRTs in the RPTV?
Unless the Speaker is shielded, it very easily could be the problem if CRT.

Move the amp, see if the problem goes away..

The only speaker by the TV is a M&K S-150 which is shielded. Is your suggestion that magnets don't interfere with Rear Projection TV's and only CRT's?
I would move the amp, but it's in there pretty good, and was looking to see if any definitive answers could be found prior to that option. Maybe I'll try it anyways.
Thanks,

If your set is a rear projection CRT it can also be impacted. If you want to troubleshoot the problem, you need to either move the amp or TV.

Turn the amp off. Does the problem go away?
