I have a Diamond Multimedia XS71DDL sound card and use an Astrogaming A40 Mixamp to get Dolby Headphone surround sound on my Vista Ultimate 64 machine.
I know the mixamp works correctly because when I have game consoles running directly to it outputting DD5.1 or Pro Logic II it works great, the virtual surround sound is amazing. But when I enable DDL on the sound card it doesn't seem to be outputting in 5.1.
I'm not sure if it's a problem with settings or simply that DDL doesn't work with Dolby Headphone (not sure why if it just makes all audio into DD5.1).
