I have 7.1 system and I'm going to move the AVR to another location in my home theater room. The problem is that all the speaker cables will now have different lengths than before. I was hoping to be able to use my current cables and not having to by new ones. It seems possible on paper but some speakers will need two lengths of cable put together to reach all the way. Is this a problem? Will I get a worse signal because of the connection (asuming I did a good job connecting them)? The new cable lengths vary from 7 to 10 meters.

No and no. Connect the speaker wire utilizing a standard twist using electrical tape and you're good to go. Anyone that advises you otherwise is full of &%$#.

I like to either soldier them or butt/barrel crimp wires for strength. I wrap electrical tape around them also.
