Stupid Warner got me again. I loaded mine assuming it would have some sort of choice, now I'm stuck with a WMV version I have no use for. And I can't redeem my token?:( and I haven't gotten a reply from their email thing.
Man I really wanted a portable copy to show people how awesome the movie was. Well anyway, you guys can get a digital copy that actually has some limited use now.
edit - I think you need to fill in the code without dashes.
solidgator 09-23-08, 06:50 PM I tried to do it and it says my authorization code is invalid. I haven't tried to redeem the digital copy previously in any way. Has anyone else been successful?
eaglengraver 09-23-08, 07:26 PM I filled out the online WB form a week ago and have received no response!

Same here; ridiculous...
tutelary 09-23-08, 09:41 PM This is laughable. I'll just convert the xvid I downloaded to mp4 in mere minutes.
I bought the bluray, so I don't feel guilty about it either.

You have to remove the dashes.
Brandon B 09-24-08, 06:25 PM Yeah, their website for this is pretty poorly set up. First it asks you for a token, in spite of the fact that the code is labelled as an "authorization code" on the slip, not "token". It then tells you it is incorrect when you enter it AS PRINTED on their form with dashes.
However, it does work if you enter it without the dashes. I entered mine on Saturday, and got an email Monday a.m. with an iTunes gift code for the download. Once you've successfully entered your code on their website, the original code that came with your BD is invalidated.

solidgator 09-24-08, 06:50 PM I entered mine without the dashes and it still does NOT work, any suggestions? Thanks
solidgator 09-25-08, 12:11 AM OK, figured it out. Like others have said, no dashes. Also, no capital letters and what I thought were the letter O, were actually zeroes. Pretty retarded that you can't enter it the same way it looks on the insert, as well as how they call it a token instead of an authorization code. Now I'll wait to see if they ever actually send me the free iTunes download, not holding my breath

shadowrage 09-25-08, 08:49 PM OK so I couldn't use the online thing because I used my code for the WMV version. I clicked on the link to send a help request. I sent one of Fri. and another on Mon. So not sure how long it took exactly.
But I got this email

Warner, why can't you just do awesome stuff like this all the time? BTW - It did have a working code, I just didn't post it.
Best thing is, like with BDs, the portable Apple codec will look a lot better than the mobile M$ codec.;)
invadergir 09-26-08, 02:05 AM Thanks for the link. I have my copy coming next week from Amazon (thanks to the weekend screw up sale) Rather have it for my iPod then well nothing really.
For those who used the form, has anyone gotten a response? If so, how long did it take? I filled the form out at the beginning of the week and haven't heard anything so far.

Has anyone found a way to get these files converted and burned to DVD?

you don't want to do that. The digital copies are of significantly lower quality than the DVD.
You may as well rip the BD and encode it to DVD specs, as that's just as "illegal" (yet untested in actual courts) as breaking the DRM on the inferior version.

Once I figured out how to properly fill-out the form and submit it, I got a response the next day. You actually get a "gift" email from iTunes. Then you just click the Redeem now button, enter your password on iTunes and it downloads immediately. Surprisingly easy

Understandable. For me, it let's the kid watch the movie in his room by pulling it off our iTunes library, because he is not allowed to touch our blu-rays and fire up the HT at will. And since I don't want to have to buy movies he and I both like on BD and DVD, it saves me the effort of having to "obtain" a version for him some other way.
I filled out the form over a week ago and still haven't been issued an iTunes code. I also sent an email several days ago and haven't heard back. Very annoying. :(
