So, did anyone else pick this up today? I had a gig tonight so I only got to play one level, but so far, I think it's a winner. I certainly enjoyed it more than the demo of the LEGO Indy game.

So, what say you, AVS?

We're getting it but have to wait until 10/17 to play...it's a birthday gift for one of my boys...maybe I should test it first and ensure it works :)

Fun games, but I'll have to pass on this one. If they can't figure out something as simple as online coop I'm not going to spend my money on it.

Got it last night and so far it looks to be the best of all 3 of the Lego games. Playing with my son and we are having a blast.

I hope they keep making these Lego games as we are having a blast playing them. My son has logged over 200 hours in Lego Star Wars on it's own and that is not including the PSP version and DS versions.

i got it and played the first level and it's a good time. i thought indy had a wee bit sronge first impression, but so far i'm liking it.

i do wish it had online co-op though, like lego SW. :(

i really love the fact that you can play it remotely on your PSP, too!

I can't figure out how you guys enjoy these Lego games ....

I have tried pretty hard, and even my son (7 yo) at times shows signs of frustration even though he does love it, can't deny that.

Anyhow, I just purchased the new Star Wars game (non Lego) and I can't wait to see how that feels and, more importantly, my son's reaction. This will have to wait till the w/e of course (no gaming in my home during weekdays!!!).

How does this work? Do you need the PS3 on and the game inserted to play it? Just curious as I was thinking of getting a PSP for my boys for Christmas and I was going to pick up this game later this week for the 360, but might get it for the PS3 instead of they can play it on the PSP while I am watching TV.

That is exactly how it works, minus the obvious tech details.

Ive been playing Lego Indiana Jones with my 4.5 yr old. There seemed to be a little more shooting and explosions in the Star Wars game, so I watch him in the Indiana Jones games carefully. Hes right at that age where he cant read all the words and needs my assistance sometimes. I wish there were some other games for his age group.

Luckily the PS2 library has come in handy for that. Im wondering how violent that Batman game is. I know its just Legos but the guns and shooting might be a little much for his age. Is there a demo for this one?

No demo. You might rent it first?

I recommend Spyro for little kids. It's a PS1 download on the PSN, and is only $5.99. Plus, if you ever get a PSP, it'll work on it also.

because they're fun, not difficult, and have a lot of game for something relatively easy.

fwiw, i didn't enjoy lego SW that much. indy, on the other hand, was brilliant.

They should make a Harry Potter version, that would probably do very well.

i think x-men or lord of the rings would be solid lego games as well!

ooh... and lego God of War?

(will never happen but that would be funny! ;):D)

Haven't played this yet but just got Lego Jones shipped from Goozex.. Yay!

It's on my queue, but I'm going to probably trade Jones for it once I'm done.

Why the lack of online co-op?Lego Star Wars Complete Saga had it,but Lego Indy and now Batman doesn't??!!

Heck yeah that would be an awsome trilogy to play and see. I can just see the midevil armor and the oliphaunts now. I only wish that they had included the 4th IJ movie into the IJ game to make it complete. But I must say, having never played the Lego games, IJ was a blast, even for the wife. I don't need the mulitplayer for this style of game. It's just a good sit down family (2 player) fun. I'm willing to bet Batman is a blast, but I'm going to have to wait till Christmas or later for this one.

I wish there were some other games for his [kids] age group.

Luckily the PS2 library has come in handy for that.

I recommend The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer on the PS2. It has co-op play, basic platforming, and beating up robots with super powers. The controls are easy to learn and the graphics/animations are very good for the PS2. Metacritic gives it a 60 (mixed/average), but outside of Lego Star Wars, I've found it to be the most satisfying co-op play experience with my son when he was 4-5 years old.

We enjoyed it a lot after seeing the movie, the game continues the story from the last minute of the film, and the music is great - I wish there was a soundtrack for it since it expands from the movie. It's great to hear Mr. Incredible and Frozone banter back and forth through the stages of each level.

To be honest,I don't think the latest Indy film had any place in Lego Indy .The appeal of that game, especially for older adults,is taking iconic movies and legoizing those films key scenes.Same with Star Wars. The latest Indy film hasn't ingrained itself in pop culture as the original trilogy did,so making fun of this last film won't resonate as strongly. On top of that,I thought the last film sucked and is largely forgettable, but that's a topic for another thread.

As far as Lego LOTR,I agree that would be awesome. Now THAT is a series of films that has a place in pop culture, and just seeing key scenes replayed with Lego characters to that dramatic score would be amazing.

I probably won't pick this game up. It looks good, but my wife and I aren't really interested in the premise.

My wife absolutely loved Lego Star Wars (at least, Lego Star Wars II). In fact, when I joked about our wedding cake topper being a Lego Star Wars theme, she loved the idea and we had a very unique cake topper that we designed ourselves.

We like Indy, but some of the levels were pretty frustrating. And not to mention too dark! I had to crank the in-game contrast to max on some levels.

We like Batman, but not enough to pickup this game.
