For a small room (11 x 14), with the TV and sofa located on the short side, one side of the room taken up by floor-to-ceiling windows, and the other side taken up by french doors, where should lighting be placed ideally? Options are:

1. flush-mounted ceiling light in center of room

2. 2 scounces next to the LCD tv

3. something else?

Thanks for any thoughts.

I use track lighting. That way I can place it where I need. Handy for me since I use my room for more than watching movies. :)

I see most of the scounces are on the sides. Unfortunately I can't do that due to the windows/doors. It's still not clear to me what's optimal, but maybe just a flush ceiling light will be good enough since it's already in place.
