If it's in HD, and someone tries to bust him open with a baseball bat like he's a piņata, I'll watch.

If his latest "magic trick" is to be locked in a room with no windows and never let out I'll watch.

Didn't he used to be entertaining and a skilled illusionist about 20 years ago?

Donald Trump wastes his money financing these stunts.. Its a farce because Blaine was seen standing upright for 10m getting his vitals checked every hour.. Now if it was Jessica Biel..:D

They need to work on the cues for John Saunders.
Several times already he's starting talking and his mic was low or off or they started him at the wrong time.

"About once an hour he has to come down for a medical check, to stretch, and to relieve himself, because even David Blaine can't do that upside down," Fox News quoted Patrick Smith, an executive vice president at Rubenstein Associates, as saying.

Did hanging upside down for 48hrs allow enough blood to rush into his brain to give him any sense?

So what gets lower ratings this special or the prime time Emmy Awards?

I hope he PLUNGES to the street(...and his death) from the top of the highest building! :D I cannot stand this man. What he does is not 'magic'. It's stupidity!

im guessing the first hour and a half is street magic. it just started for me and the first 10 mins have been him doing street magic.

I think it was a major oops and even the host/announcer couldn't cover for it.

I guess that could be, I mean he jumped off and all I could think of before he did it was big deal hes going to jump into an air bag? Then all of a sudden hes going airborn the lights dim and he poofs, the announcer is talking like it was ****ing amazing. This was the biggest lame ass **** so called magic I have ever seen.

I didn't get the final stunt at all.

Was the cord he was tethered on not supposed to be seen?

Because what he did was not magic, it's call bungee jumping.

First he doesn't complete his under water stunt and now this...

How ABC thinks it's a good idea to give this man a 2-hour primetime special is beyond me.

Exactly, but When Blaine was brought to stand on the platform for his final dive, the ABC presenter inaccurately announced: "You can see David turned upright for the first time in 60 hours."
Why lie about stuff like that? People were there who saw him upright and drink, urinate etc. ABC should know better as there will be plenty of proof of not "being the first time in 60 hours" upright

A news report said the ending was messed up by the 15min delay.
There were supposed to be helium balloons high above Blane that were supposed to lift him up and out of view but the wind caused the helium balloons to shift and they were suck with what happened.

Here's an news report on what did not happen,

According to plan. He was supposed to jump and, at 10 feet, be swept away by a bunch of helium-filled balloons.
Instead, he dangled awkwardly for a moment before disappearing in an ascent into the night sky.

Blaine said ABC, which aired the event in a two-hour special called "David Blaine: Dive of Death," had encouraged him not to dive because of high winds.
"I wasn't going to let everybody down, so I just jumped, and somehow the guys with the balloons made it work, and they pulled me slowly up and I went over into the park and they pulled me down," he said.

I'm still kind of confused as to what was supposed to be accomplished during the final stunt?.

Were the balloons supposed to be hidden from view? So the illusion would be that he flew away?

And the balloons don't explain why the audience could clearly see the rope he was tethered to nor why the stunt itself was called "Dive of Death?"

The entire concept just sounds stupid and doesn't make any sense.

From the ratings and stunt debacle I think his TV career is dead now.

So the name works for that.
