Hello All,

I am am planning on buying an RS-1100 Ultra tomorrow if possible, I am just trying to figure out some issues surrounding the throw requirements. I am looking around Runco.com and for the Ultra model all I am seeing is throw ratios for the optional lenses. If I purchase the projector with the standard lens that is included and shoot a 16:9 image, what is the throw ratio? I am seeing 1.55 - 1.93 under the standard RS-1100 will this ratio be true for the Ultra model as well. I am looking to have an answer by noon the seller has another offer on the table. In short, I am looking for the shortest possible throw on a 92"

I thank you in advance!

The ratios of the standard lenses look the same between the regular and ultra...

Projector Central calculator indicates the minimum throw on the 1100 for a 92" 16.9 would be 10'4". It is worth noting that at that screen size and throw a 1.0 gain screen works out to 50 fL, which is *very* bright.

standard for each looks like 1.87 - 2.20:1

There is no 'standard' lens with the RS-1100 Ultra version. We pick the lens based on the throw you need. The shortest throw with the Ultra is a 1.40 - 1.50:1 throw (The Proteus C lens). If you want CineWide, you will need a longer throw lens - The Proteus D lens (1.55 - 1.98:1).

The RS-1100 (not the Ultra) has a throw of 1.87 - 2.20:1.
