I am going to be hosting some Post Season games at my house in my recently finished "theater". I am a little scared that TBS is televising these games. It seams that a lot of programming on TBSHD, with the exception of a few (Seinfeld), are stretched SD content.
Is it safe to assume that TBS will have top notch HD for PQ as well as AQ?
I am not sure what channel I was watching, think it was WGNHD and for once it seamed that the Surround Sound channels were fully engaged and it really engulfed you into the game. I am hoping TBS does the same.
Is it too much to ask for?
I have Comcast Chicago.

They've been broadcasting MLB games every Sunday this year. There's even one today at 1:00 PM EDT, if you're curious.

I remember getting TBS-HD right before the playoffs last year (Comcast in Boston). I think it was the only thing on TBS actually in HD, no stretch-o-vision like all of their other content at the time. I don't recall being anything other than pleased with their coverage, though I could be biased by the results of the games more so than the technical aspects of the coverage.

TBS's MLB coverage has always had great PQ, and judging by today's game, they seem to be doing real DD5.1 audio instead of the upmix they used to do.

TBS baseball in last years playoffs looked miles better than Fox.

TBS playoff coverage is amazing. Great PQ, and DD5.1 looks like this year.

Is it safe to assume that TBS will have top notch HD for PQ as well as AQ?Nothing is safe to assume when it comes to HD, but in general TBS HD is pretty good, and as noted audio is now 5.1.
I would suggest using NBA games on TNT HD as a yardstick.
