You can go to Crutchfield and download any manual for any receiver they carry to find out what receivers are 4 ohm stable. A lot of cheaper receivers will not drive all speakers at 4 ohms. Most will be stable with just the front two speakers being 4 ohm and the rest have to be at least 6 ohms. The higher level Onkyos seem to support all speakers being 4 ohms. The answer doesn't get much better than that because you didn't specify how much you wanna spend nor did you mention what speakers you will be hooking up to it. Just about all receivers come with HDMI now days.

Thanks for the reply,

I'm getting the Axiom Epic 80s I need the 4 ohm stable receiver to push the towers (M80s).

budget = 1500 maybe?? but could do more if needed.

and could definitely do less if possible!! :)

I also have the Epic 80 7.1 and have been using a Denon 2807 for two years. Recently I added an additional M80 as a center and have never experienced any problems with SPL levels louder than I care to listen. Many brands will work fine but even the low end Denon’s don’t seem to have any problems with the M80s. If you are willing to buy B-Stock/Factory Refurbished you can save some money. Which model to buy depends on the features you want. Here’s a link to authorized Denon dealers including B-Stock.

You might want to post in the Axiom forum for more specific advice... Oops looks like you already did.
