View Full Version : Please help: PT-AE2000 color band problem

Hi there, I would be grateful if anyone may be able to provide some assistance/guidance.

I recently got a new Panasonic PT-AE2000 and noticed some strange green coloring at the bottom of a projected image. As my source is a PS3, I selected varying desktop background colors until it finally became rather pronounced (using a yellow background). I had been using a blue background thus I think it went unnoticed originally.

Any suggestions on what my issue may be ? Read some other posts and members of the AVS forum have suggested the DVI cable.

That does not look like a DVI issue, looks like a PJ issue. Try a different cable of any type to a dvd player (move it close to the PJ) - if it shows up using a different cabling type (bet it will), then the PJ is bad and needs service. That looks like burn-in, but burn-in is not supposed to happen on LCD PJ's. You said "new" in your post, was the PJ new in a sealed box?
