I have Cox Cable and one Tv has a Motorola Digital Cable Box DVR the other set is hooked up directly thru coax. The TV with the cable box is about 10 sec delayed (behind) the tv with no cable box? I also noticed the Tv up stairs with the same DVR is not seeing the same delay. Is there anything that I can do?

Thanks

Just enjoy the echo effect. It takes some time for the box to process the information and get it to the TV set in usable form. Ten seconds is a little long, though. If you're not seeing the same delay on your DVR (there should be a second or two, though), there could be a box issue.

Yeah, I have a box and straight coax situation, and the delay is about a second.

During the NBC Sunday Night Football game, the digital STB signal lead the analog OTA signal by over 1 second.

Ive noticed that before when neighbors cheer a couple seconds after I do during a play. My opinion was that they were just slow and they probably think i'm psychic. Wish I could place a bet in less than a second. :)

Yes, but it has always been the SD analog signal that gets there first.

Maybe upstairs you have a newer Motorola DVR like a DCT-3416, and downstairs you have a slower one like a DCT-6412 phase 2 (with a slower processor). Or one's hooked to HDMI and ones not...

But yeah there will always be some kind of delay. The box is getting it in digital form, the TV without the box is getting the already decoded analog signal.
