Nothing to do with the PS3 update. It's the BD-Live that causes the disc not to load properly.

Disable it in the system settings and you'll be good to go.

Thank you for the information. Next time, I'll try that with BD-Live enabled again. Before, I had several people heading my way to watch it, freaked out and post here (should have posted in the Blu-ray Software forum). These people I mentioned aren't into home theater, electronics, etc. and would have busted my balls for having troubles. Example, everytime my HDTV displays "Weak or No Signal" during a long HDMI handshake, they read it aloud.
