View Full Version : DWIN HD-700 stuck in 4:3 mode -- even with RGB input (HDTV)

I was tweaking the convergence and noticed the screen was a bit fuzzy, so I decided to change the number of scan lines for the TranScanner (version 1) and went to set it to 715 lines and 16:9 and that is when things went wrong.

The screen was then stuck in 16:9 mode, even for 4:3 material, but it would not display the source as 16:9. I deleted the TranScanner memories, but that didn't help and it actually got me in the pickle I'm in now. The display is now stuck in 4:3 mode, even with RGB (HDTV source material set to 16x9).

I sent e-mail and left voicemail with DWIN as this was recently back from service, but they take forever to get back to you.

Anybody know how to reset the display back to the defaults? Any ideas here?

I have set the TranScanner memories for years and never had anything happen like this.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

Solved the issue: The screen got squished horizontally somehow during the changes. Expanded the size horizontally and it's good. Weird...
