Some time ago I decided to replace the front fan on my G90 with the SilenX fan that JohnHWman suggested. No doubt it really succeeded in quieting the projector.
But lately I've read a few threads by G90 owners who have had some problems that may have been heat related. Since no one really knows for sure how "overdesigned" the G90 is with regard to cooling, it is somewhat of a gamble to replace the OEM fans with something with less cooling ability.
Electrical wizards like John have the ability to fix their projectors if a component fails, but many of us "normal people" can't do that. So I decided to keep my SilenX fan installed, but reinstall the OEM fan as well - slowed down from its original speed of 4500 rpm to about 3000 rpm. It's not as quiet as with only the SilenX fan, but it's a heck of a lot quieter than with the full speed OEM fan.
It took some experimenting with various resistors, because the power supply couldn't provide 12 volts when both fans were connected. I decided to post the details of what I learned on this site:

I think I have a good compromise now between reasonable projector noise and adequate cooling capacity.
