Howdy all,

This may or may not be the right forum for this question. I am currently a Fios basic television subscriber. That is, I just get the basic broadcast channels. This works just fine for me, but for the playoffs I would really like to watch the Sox. Is there any possible way to watch this through my HTPC? Any websites, or even services that I can get just for the next two months to watch the playoffs? I'm a Sage user, so something that doesn't require me to get a cable box would be good, but I'm willing to do anything. I can't get my actual service upgraded until Monday, so if there's no online streaming option I'm SoL for game 3.

No streaming option for US residents. MLB.TV does have online streams for international viewers.

The game will be available to view, for U.S. citizens, right after the game has ended. Why they do this, I don't know. Anyway, the ALCS and the World Series are broadcast on FOX, so you'll be able to see those games with your current setup.

Not just TBS, it is the same deal during the regular season for nationally televised games on FOX and ESPN. MLB.TV is an out of market package meant to see teams not in your market, all post season games are national so their is no need for an out of market package.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Had the American League on my mind when I wrote the post because the White Sox/Rays game was on.

TBS has a feature for the playoffs were you can watch each game from a mosaic of 4 cameras or view then individually.
The quality is not the best but it's better then nothing if you can't watch the games on TV.

Yes there is a way to do it. But whether the game you want to see is being streamed is another story. Luckily it seems all EPL games can be watched on-line. And it's not always in english.

The amount of games in English seems to have improved 10 fold in the last year or so. Watching Chelsea Liverpool right now :)

Yes that is true. I watched 2 ManU games on websites, and the picture was large and streamed very well. Things are getting better! Too bad I can't watch them up at work during the week.
