I am looking at purchasing a projector for a project in the basement at my new home. There is one small window in the room which will be covered by blinds. Lighting will be pretty low. I will be projecting onto a 106" 16:9 screen, with a throw of somewhere between 11' and 13'. Right now I am seriously considering the BenQ W500. Could someone please give me some advice on this projector or recommend a better one for under $1000? Thanks in advance.

Well sadly you just missed out on the $600 planar 7130 deal from a few days ago. Someone on the planar thread accidentilly bought two and is selling one. I would send them a PM.

Otherwise I would get the sharp Dt-510 at tigerdirect.com as long as it fit your room and you don't need lens shift. The w500 is pretty good though.
