Hey all,

So I came home tonight and turned on the projector, and voila, the image is yellowish. For instance, when the Mitsubishi logo comes on at the beginning, the whites are yellow. I use blue as the standard background color, and it appears a yellowish gray.

Is my blue polarizer shot? I've typically heard of polarizer issues happening with areas of the screen, not just a complete color channel missing. Typically I have color issues with the RGB vs. YPbPr setting, but this is not one of those cases...

The 4900 was bought in March, so I guess I have to send it in. Does this sound like a warranty issue, which they will cover, or a repair issue, which I will be out-of-pocket for?

Yep, polarizer is burned. Definitely a warranty issue. Get it into them for repairs. Just make sure before you send it that the projector has been maintained (cleaned) according to the owners manual. You don't want them to have any excuse to void the warranty.
