Finally received my new bulb and the replacement was easy. I did follow the instruction on the timer reset ("Enter"+"Down" key together, then power on) but nothing happened. I did this 4 times to no avail.

Finally I turned the PJ as normal and it came on fine. Everythings good but now my bulb life says 989 hours:eek::eek: since it never got reset.

The note that came in the bulb said to do the timer reset ONLY one time when replacing the bulb so does that mean I'll have to live with this false count now?

I wonder if I should out the bulb and try this again :confused::confused:I'm a IT guy so I can handle most electronics but I can't believe why the timer reset is such a PITA:mad::confused::eek:.

just reset and guesstimate- just write down the hours you think youve put on and remember to tack that on to your count
