I've been receiving a lot of e-mails lately from a "Peter" who's suposedly in New Yorn . Anybody else heard from this guy, it looks like a classic scam and I wish there was some way to shut these people up or boot them off Videogon. Any suggestions?

I heard from this putz, he asked the same questions but could not describe which of several items he wanted. And he was going to drive 1700 miles from Chicago....yeah sure.

It is clear it is a scam when they say "your item" instead of "your projector" or "your g90" or whatever you are selling. It is just a generic response they send to many people.

Yeah, I get that same one even when I don't have anything lested. It's a cookie cutter scam. Just dump it in the trash bin.

well some good news this morning. I decied to report this loser to videogon and it looks like someone is on the ball over there :)

I got the the same email from this turd. He tagged my ads and put a buy it now price like a ebay add. I was lucky and caught it quickly and notified audiogon and videogon. How he does it is he emails you saying he wants you to verify this is your add. Because he has responded to several emails at once. Once you tag on his link he has your info.
