just setup a home theater system on my 720p TV and I'm having an issue. For reference, the receiver is the Denon AVR-689. Most importantly, the video feed is choppy. I've got my Wii and 360 hooked up through component cables to the receiver and a component cable running from the receiver to the TV. Normally both work fine without the receiver but the video feed is choppy with it, my screen'll turn blue then turn back to the actual game/movie/etc and then blue again intermittently. I tried swapping the component cables out to no avail as well, same problem. I've tried both movies and games as well as lowering/increasing resolutions in game.
I dont know much about that receiver and what video processing it does, but is it set to just pass through the signal, or is there some kind of upconverting going on?

Send the component cables directly to the display. Problem solved. Best for a video signal to go straight to the source it needs to display.

I suppose I could just send the 360 to the display directly, however that doesn't help me much with the Wii since it doesn't have optical audio. The audio cables on the Wii are attached to the same thing as the video cables.

Just go to page 26 of your manual. It will tell you how to disable the video conversion.
