Hello,

I recently rented the Motorola HD cable box from Comcast. The old cable box worked perfectly, but this motorola box is having major issues. It took me a few swaps to realize that the problem is my Panasonic TV.

Somehow, my PZ77U plasma is emitting something that messes up the Motorola's remote...so I'm not able to change channels or navigatve the guide is any speed at all. I can change maybe 3 channels...then it will just stall and I can't do anything for a minute or two...

It's so frustrating!

Anyone else have this problem? I assume so! When me and the tech nailed down the problem, his supervisor said that a few other panasonic owners were having the same problem.

So...is there s solution? I don't have a big wall to work with. Like others asked, is there a way to sheild the box from the TV waves?

Thanks!

I'll re-post my reply since I know how frustrating this is and hope it helps.

I recently had problems with my remote not changing channels or anything on my DCH3416.
It was working just fine for 3-4 months...

I entered codes in on my PX60U remote but same results. They both worked but not very well.
There was a post I found on here about putting a piece of masking tape over the remote or the IR on the stb.
It worked for me.

Still confused as to why it did this out of the blue.
