Or, so it seems on my Panasonic PT-AE2000U.
I noticed it just recently at about 240 hours on the bulb. I definitely notice it on black and white movies and I can see it with a screen of a solid color. I have described it as a color balance flicker as I can recreate it by going into the settings and moving the color balance value +/-1. Seems more blue then normal then more red then normal, etc. It is not a fast flicker like a strobe effect but maybe about every 10 seconds as it goes in between each.
I'd search for it but I don't know the specific search terms for this.
