Anyone have any interest in this game? Its multiplatform so I'm not sure which system I'm leaning towards. There has been no demo....and no pre release review which makes me skeptical.
But the gameplay videos and screen shots look great. It comes out today so we'll see if it sinks or swims but it def has my interest. An action RPG while getting to kill and ride huge beast cant be all bad:)
Whats funny is that there are so many games comming out in the next 2-3 months, that even games that will be pretty good, are going to get a raw deal. This games looks pretty good, and seems to be a fun game to play, however, chances that I am actually goint to play such game over GoW2, Fallout3, Fable2, L4D, CoD5 (CoD:WaW), etc, etc is unlikely. As a result, there is no way I am going to spend $59.99 on games like these (I skipped Pure, Star Wars, NHL 09, Lego Batman/Lego Indy, Mercinaries, Viva pinata 2and several other great games recently) because to me they are no longer worth $59.99. When the price of this game (and some of the above mentioned ones) are less that $20, then I will definately play them. For example, I just picked up Lost odessey new for under $20.
I missed out on the PS2 history, but looking at sales results, apart from AAA games, not many games sold well based on attach rates. I hate saying this, but now nearly 3 years into the Xbox cycle, and with >300 games so far, I suspect that many new games are going to get a raw deal (Pure is an example of such). People are only going to spend thier money on established franchises and spend a reduced amount on other games only when they are close to the bargain bins. Golden Axe may end up being in the same boat as Pure.
Amazon has this game today for $9.99. It got bad reviews, but for this price I picked it up. As part fo the 15 deals for 15 days, they also have Lost Planet, Moster Jam for 9.99 each, and Banjoo and Kazooie Nuts and Bolts for $25. some really good deals here.

No way!! Banjo Kazooie for $25. Looks like I will get this for my nephew for Christmas after all. By the way, I've played Golden Axe. It's a decent game if you like hack and slashes. Well worth more than $10. The reviews were way too harsh on it.
