For everybody who didn't get a code yesterday, public demo today. :) Much more polished than the beta IMO. There's a skirmish mode against the AI and a quick demo level to get the controls down before you get online. If you like strategy games give it a go with the voice controls, it works smooth as silk.

The demo is awesome, before I played it this game was not even on my radar, after playing it, this is a day one purchase for me.

I didn't even bother based off of pior reviews of the beta, but now your comments have me intrigued, so I'll give it a shot.

They succeeded in making a fun strategy game that works on consoles. I really like it.

Oh this is hilarious...What 2 days after they send out demo codes they put it on live? Nice.

Anyway, with this recent demo release they have cleaned up a lot of bugs...or so I hear anyway. The whole voice command thing is fun to shout out orders to your units. I don't usually like RTS games but this one is pretty interesting. I think everyone should check out the demo.

The voice commands work perfectly, it's cool watching your units respond to your spoken commands even when the action gets hairy & you're practically yelling out orders it still seems to understand what you are saying. This is definetly growing on me, much more so than the COD5 beta did (I still prefer COD4).

did any of you have an issue with the game being overly bright? i was using the same settings that i normally use for every other game but this demo was just way to high on the brightness.

Ugh I hated it. Completely off my radar now. The voice controls didn't work for **** from my experience. Maybe cuz I'm not using the MS headset?

It could use some sort of tutorial, it's a bit overwhelming at first.
From my playtime, the faster you say commands the better it picks them up. If you wait between commands, like "Unit....2....move to......bravo" it loses it more often. I was doing that waiting of the onscreen icons to confirm my orders, but found it was much better to say commands fast.

Yep. Doesn't work with my X1s but works perfectly with the standard headset.

Awesome demo...it really sold me on the game.

Also if there was ever a game I wanted to play on a projector screen this would be it.

Yes, as of last night. I haven't renewed my Live since last month so I've been waiting to try it out also.

I like what I see from playing the demo so far. Learning how to group the units makes things MUCH easier...was reading up on that earlier. I still need to get use to the limited view, kind of hard when your use to the traditional RTS open views.

I really hope the online portion will run smoothly. I'm worried about the lag...

I have played a few skirmishes against some of my UK friends (one who thumped me horribly). It seems to work pretty good online. Learned that you can talk to your opponent by holding down the right shoulder button, duh.
He sent like 8 warship divisions at me and I wasn't prepared, fought to the last rifleman then sent a "hail mary" nuke at him towards the end, we laughed our @ss's off.

Undecided buy as of yet.

I really liked the voice command stuff... as a novelty. As a WC3/SC fan I find this to be pretty lame by RTS standards.

The game is simplistic but the voice command concept works great. I have a plantronics BT paired up with my PS3 and I was very surprised with how well it picked up my half mute, no confidence voice. I only played through the compaign part, which was all but five minutes and that was good because RTS games are not my cup of tea, but I really would like to see voice commands being use in other types of games. I think a voice commanded fighting game would be hilarious to watch, or listen to.

This demo needed a good tutorial and probably hurt more than it helped with people not familiar with RTS like myself. I had no idea WTF was going on. How did I even win the first level???

Where are you guys finding the demo? I don't see it in the "new arrivals" section..

It came out in mid-October so it's no longer a new arrival. You can find it by going through genres.

I agree with NoThru22 I have no idea how I won. I played the demo without using the voice commands on my go around. I just kept moving units to different areas. Maybe there is more to this game than can be seen in one little demo but I will not be buying it anytime soon.

There are a bunch of videos on live that explain the game but you have to download them separately.

I love adding Voice Commands to games. On the pc side there is an App called VR Commander, really works well to and you can map whatever you say to keys, macros etc. I use it for inventory, map, quests, weapon changes and stuff like that. I'm definately going to check this out.
