...have an older Sony 65xbr10w non-hdmi 1080i only set......looking for a solution to upscale
720p (output from some PS3 game software) to 1080i and output as component...any current
or slightly older scaler output to analog 1080i? I guess the dvdo Edge requires hdmi.

The other question would be, is there anything like an hdmi retro-fit card or service for older non-hdmi sets? Just thinking out loud.....i intially had my eye on SOny sxrd 70" before it got discontinued....then the 70" xbr7...but the sticker is, well about double too much....the 55xbr8
does sound excellent w/ LED backlighting etc, but dropping screen size isn't an option. So,
the idea of running what we have for a while longer is the current notion....hence the above question(s).

Thx for any suggestions,

Andy

HDFury2 is one possibility.

The LumagenHDQ includes analog output BNC's that can drive a display with 1080i component or RGBHV. The specs and pictures are posted here. http://www.lumagen.com/testindex.php?module=hdq_details

The LumagenHDP can output 1080i component or RGBHV from the DVI output connector. You just need to use a DVI to component adaptor or a DVI to RGBHV adaptor. The specs and picture are posted here. http://www.lumagen.com/testindex.php?module=hdp_details
