I bought a SpeakerCraft IR Distribution kit and can't get it working. I have an IRC-2.1 receiver connected to a AT-1.0 terminator unit using the 4 wire lead that comes off the IRC. When I connect power to the terminator unit, the blue activity LED on the receiver immediately comes on and remains lit up. The green power LED never comes on. Also, when I plug an emitter into terminator unit, the red activity LED immediately comes and remains on.

Anyone run into this? Feels like it might be a defective unit...but also the first time I've setup this unit, so want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Thanks,
jon

We use tons of Speakercraft IP products, they have very good to us. On occasion, like any electronics there are issues.

You do not mention which power supply, are you using one of their regulated power supplies. Also, for whatever reason the white stripe is IR, not power like the rest of the industry uses for power. We do not use the status feature either, so I only hook up power, ground, and IR.

Yes, I'm using their PS-1.0 regulated power supply. and I do have the white lead connnected to the IR in. If I disconnect the Status lead the blue light does go off, but it still doesn't function properly...doens't transmit IR signals I send to/at the receiver out hte emitters.

How about the location of the receiver?? This is a plasma friendly unit, but could it be saturated by sunlight or fluorescents??

Funny, as I am answering here. I am also suggesting the remote forum using RF instead of IR... lol

It's sitting on top of a 42" plasma, but I've trid moving it and covering the receiver, but the activity light never changes.

Looking more and more like I just got a bad kit.
