I was just wondering if anyone had received the latest batch of Sony FullHD HDMI cards yet. I know it takes a while for them to be made and shipped. Just waiting like a kid for Christmas day. Any idea when they will ship?

Mine showed up by mail carrier a few minutes ago. The box was a little abused, but the card looked good. Itll be a while, but yes, I will put up photos.

Folks,
Been having problems posting from my Blackberry so I hope this reply gets through...

Just plugged my ne fullHD card into my G70 and the resultant picture is terrible!
It's made up of vertical lines, it's smudged on highlights - I'll post some photos when I'm near a decent connection on Monday.

Any ideas before I send it back as faulty?

Why are you posting your bad installation it different threads and do not fix your G70 memory settings first? I am convinced this will solve your problem, please try it.

I got my card too and it works fine. But it is not a pick and place as you may have expected. There is no manual delivered with the card and therefore a lot a peoples (including me) will stand in the dark when the card is in the slot and the first picture is completely off until reading the projector manual and consider that the loarded projector memory is not correct.

For most of us non-professionals, it would be a big help to have a step by step installation guide including needed projector adjustmens to get the best picture out.

What are these Sony FullHD HDMI cards? And for what projectors? Why one would want this if he already has HDFury?

Thanks!

Why would I want a Mercedes when my Yugo goes from point A to point B?

Got it. I looked at the link and one of the features attracted me a lot and that is the elimination of banding. It's because I have seen some broadcast like in CBS, their feed sometimes have banding/contours. On the link, it says, eliminates(not reduces) artifacts that appear as band contours. The before and after picture on the link also captured my eyes. I want to buy one (but need to save more though :) ).

This is the picture I was talking about

I'm hoping it will work on my Sony 1272 too. Once I get it, I would like to test the pictures I have created.

This is the file I will be testing. It has banding/contours just like the image above. And from what the card claims, it should eliminate the banding.

I should be able to achive this quality via the card. This is at 24-bit.

Thanks for the link. I'm happy that I will have a new toy to play with(but 4 months hopefully) . :)

EDIT: I saw that 1272 is supported. :)

Please see my other thread for photos.

Once you get it fixed, please take a screenshot of this image (http://restricted.dyndns.org/contour1920x1080.gif)so I can see how it deals with the banding/contours.

Thanks so much!
