Some of you may remember my plight earlier this summer as a neighbor's tree decided its final resting place should be across my house, taking my entire a/v setup with it.

Well, four months later, and with a nice check from State Farm, the room has gone from:

Since EVERYTHING was replaced, I guess this is as good a forum as any to share the good news lol.

So the new gear is:

Pioneer 6020fd
3x Definitive Tech Mythos10 speakers
Klipsch RSW10d subwoofer
Denon 1909 receiver
Panasonic BD55 blu ray

It sure as hell felt good to sit on my couches this weekend for the first time in four months and watch some tv.

JMFC, if I woke up one morning and saw that in my television viewing room I think I would just go buy a chainsaw and go on a tree killing spree..

trust me... the thought did go through my mind. I was very close to making a guest appearance on COPS as the crazed half naked guy wearing only boxers and waving an axe around muttering to himself about getting the trees before they get him.

Your new setup is awesome!!!

All plasmas are great but I like Pioneer.
One of mine has over 45000 hours on it and still rocks 24 hours a day..
It used to be that everyone thought they wouldn't last long, but I've since heard that you can expect over 100,000 viewing hours.

See ya,
Kelly

do the right thing...........invite you neighbor over for a beer, let him watch for awhile and then kick his a$$ out muttering "THANKS SUCKAH" at the same time and "dont come back"

Congratulations on getting that all fixed. It is really stressful having your home be torn up like that.
