View Full Version : Is the Soundbroker still in business?

I ordered a Behringer Amp and EQ from Thesoundbroker a couple of months ago. I have left voice mails and emails for Kevin with my home phone number and have received no replies. In the interim, my credit card has been charged. It definitely is not my normal way of conducting business (via a public forum), but since phone calls and emails are not returned to paying customers it must be something serious (is he okay, bankrupt, ??).

Any insight (back door phone numbers, alternative email addresses, etc.) from those having conducted business with Thesoundbroker would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

e-mail inquiries to soundbroker@comcast.net and voice messages left at 360-312-4136 are definitely dead-ends:(.

Can anyone recommend a reliable source for a Behringer EP2500 amp and a Behringer Ultradrive Pro DCX2496 EQ?

Although price is important, dependability is a much bigger concern at this time.

Thanks,
Steve

I just saw him post on the JTR speaker thread in the speaker forums yesterday. Maybe try posting in there?

Parts Express carries these units and is always competitively priced, although often you can save a couple dollars if you have time to do a bit of hunting. One factor that can tip the balance is when there is free shipping available, which is often the case with Parts Express. Backordered items can sometimes be a bit frustrating if there is a lot more demand than supply, but if it's in stock, you're golden.

I have found dealers on ebay are dependable and there is that nice 25% cash back going on from live.com ;) I have not found it cheaper anywhere else.

I also agree with Mark, Parts Express is a great choice if ebay store fronts are not for you.

btw, as long as you buy from a authorized dealer you are going to be fine! Musician's friend is another quality online retailer for these products and they are an authorized dealer.

Behringer has great customer service on their own too, I sent my DCX back to be fixed and within 7 days I had it back :D

Okay, just found out about this post.

Steve, your credit card was refunded a while ago. The problem was, Behringer changed their order policies and now requires a 10 unit per sku minimum order. I like the gear but not enough to order 10 of them for the $30 per unit you make on them.
I sent you an e-mail with this explanation some time ago. I think our e-mails are getting crossed up or I'm having issues with our mail server for which I apologise. In any case, check your statement.
