I just got the new Casino Blu-Ray DVD and it takes literally about 8-10 minutes every time for the menu screen to load on my Samsung BP-1500 player so I can play the movie. The first time I thought something must have been wrong with the disk as the screen was blank, but I then decided to leave it in the machine and about 8-10 minutes later the menu screen appeared. I tried it again a number of times and it took about that long every time. I also exchange it for a new one and it did the same thing.
I tried a number of my other Blu-Ray and regular DVD's (including the new Indiana Jones Blu-Ray DVD) and they didn't even come close to taking so long to get to the menu screen. Anyone with a Samsung BP-1500 player with the 2.0 firmware upgrade noticing the same thing or any ideas what's going on?

You might try another copy of the disc. Obviously, it shouldn't take that long to load unless the player is encountering a problem reading the disc.

Does this title have BD live and do you have you player Ethernet cable connected to the internet ?
*You might also want to post this or have this thread moved to the blu-ray player forum.

Issues like this is the norm on Blu-ray players. Stand alone players will always have problems with newer discs. Not all but its there. At least get your player connected to the internets, that way firmware update is just a push of a button away. Hopefully that works too ;)
