I have decided, that instead of buying a stand alone Blu ray player/building a Media center PC with BD player, I would like to stream my DVDs and Blu rays to my big screen HDTV. I actually ordered this nice device that has HDMI out, optical audio out, pretty much every video format out there. It was perfect. It would sit under my TV, be connected to my network, and any of my DVDs or Blu Rays that I have ripped on my desktop PC, could be streamed to it. However, I have found out recently that they have more issues than I am willing to deal with. This was the popcorn hour A110. Really nice, but I cancelled the order after finding out they have a fair share of Quality control problems....a shame as it was 240 dollars, a good price point.

Anyways, I see there are various devices sold by netgear and Dlink that seem to do the job, but I am unsure about the Blu ray part. All I want to do is to be able to stream my videos, whether it be blu ray or DVD files from my desktop PC, to the TV. I know some people will rip BD onto their PC then stream it to their PS3, but I do not want to go that route. I'd like to hear any suggestions other than what I have already thought of.

In a nutshell, I want to take my growing BD and already large DVD collection, put them onto my large Server I run at my computer, and serve them up in all their glory, whether it be Standard def or High def up to 1080p to my TV. My house is wired for gigabit, so I have the capacity for it, just can't seem to find the right device for it. I would like to spend around 300 dollars or less...but if there is stuff that is just great, but costs more, I'd like to hear about those options too.

-So far, the devices that I see that fit the bill are :

-The Tvix 6500A
-other NMTs
-other devices I've read thru in this forum.

thanks in advance for all help I get! :)
