Anybody has experience with this sub? I am looking for a sub to match my Infinity Primus p362 mains. Would this be a good movie sub?

Do a search on the forum and you'll find plenty of threads that mention this sub... Most of what I read had very good things to say about it...

Have you received the sub? If so, what kind of condition is it in (cosmetically)?

I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I'm worried they might look a little beat up, being refurbs and so low priced.

Looks like I missed out on the deal. Only 1 left, and it has a broken foot.

Called Energy and they told me it wouldn't be covered by the 90-day warranty and they didn't have any replacement parts available for purchase.

World Wide Stereo told me they are trying to get more in, but don't think they will be able to.

I wish this was still going on. I was looking at this exact sub to pair with speakers I was going to get from this same store already.

I got mine yesterday, unboxed and set it up. Looked new, came in orginal mfrs box with stryrofoam with Klispch plastic wrapped around the speaker.

This replaced my Sony SAWM-40 12" sub which did its job fine for the last 6 years. The Energy is not boomy like the Sony and sounds better with the little music I've played so far. I can feel the low bass more than hear it like I did with the boomy Sony during movies.

I still have to play with it a little more and calibrate with my SPL meter to get everything fine tuned. But on first impressions I'm very happy. Still need to try Ironman, War of the World DTS and U-571 depth charge scene.

I spoke with a wwstereo.com rep today and she said the 10.3 is no longer available but will be getting the older 10.2 sub in next. Must be clearing out Energy stock. Price isn't $150 though, more like $199 b-stock and $220 new. At that price point you have to start considering the BIC-100 and other speakers.

Amazon does have the ESW-10 for $170 shipped. Doesn't go quite as low as the s10.3 but still a good sub.

Is the BIC-100 considered to be a better sub than the S10.3?

So these subs are not ranked by Craigsub and I am having trouble finding reviews. Is this a good deal for $220?
