I've got the 60 inch XBR1. Lately, I have noticed that the picture flickers slightly at times. It's not constant, but comes and goes. It also occurs on all inputs, so it is a TV issue. Does this sound like a bulb problem? I've had the TV for a couple of years, so it may be time for a new bulb, but I'd hate to buy the new bulb and have the problem continue. Any feedback is appreciated.

is there a power saving setting on the XBR1 like the XBR2? That often causes the flicker on the XBR2.

Any updates on this? My A3000 recently started sporadically flickering on all inputs.

Again, check post #2.

After the power savings setting quit having an effect on the flickering, shortly thereafter I noticed my OB was going bad.

OB was replaced and flickering has stopped ever since.

In my instance, it seemed to be an early indication of OB failure.

After reading the previous posts, this is the same problem I am having with my set. The bulb is at the end of its life, I am sure, and this problem is a recent one and quite annoying. I see that replacing the OB fixed the problem permenantly, my question is, what is the OB? Is that the lamp?????
