Hello,
My barco 1209 is projecting on a screensize of 2 meters.(78,74 inch)
Can i go to 90 inch?
Will it loose to much detail?Sharpness?softness?
Or keep it like its is for the best picture?
Kindly regards,
Tony
I run my 1209s on a 120" diagonal 16/9 screen which is Ibelieve 106 inches wide on a unity gain screen.Sahrpness, brightness and punch is friggin awesome,If you can go bigger do it,I'd love to go bigger but I think I'm at the sweetspot for a single 9".That being said, you may prefer the extra punch from a smaller image,I dunno,I personally could'nt go any smaller.I suppose id depends on how fussy you are.

Only you can decide what is acceptable as far as the picture is concerned. However there are many of us that use screens larger than 90", my screen is 96" wide with an 8" G70 and it looks great to me.
I'll be running a Barco 1200 on a 100" wide screen. I don't have it dialed in yet, but the brightness seemed okay when I tested it in my dark room. This is my first home theater system though, so my standards probably aren't as high as most.

What is the gain of your screen? On most average screens you shouldn't have any issues getting a good 12 ftL of light output from a 1209 on a 90-100" wide screen.
I get a good 12 ftL from my Barco Cine8 which has "only" 8 tubes from my 96" wide 1.1 gain screen.
