I've got a mits. 55807, and I've got my xbox 360 hooked up to the "Component 2" hookup using the HD component cables. If I have the 360 cables set to "standard" I sound/video input and can play, but if I set the 360 cables to "hdtv" all I get is a blue screen.
Anyone have any ideas?
I can't hookup the cables to the DTV out because that's where I have the sat. reciever connected, so I'm stuck using the component out.

The DTV input is the only HD input on that TV. The other component inputs are limited to 480i and, I assume, 480p.
If you want to get HD from more than one source, you will either need a component video switch or an AVR that switches component signals to use with the DTV port.

You are correct, the component hookups are labeled 480i/480p, but even when I set the 360's HD to 480p, all I get is a blue screen.
I had this issue when I first purchased the my 360 back when they first came out, and I don't remember what I did to fix the issue(I upgraded shortly after to samsung LNT). I purcahsed a second 360 for my dad and am now trying to hook this one up for him, but can't recall what I originally did to fix the issue.

Try asking in the XBOX area. Perhaps someone there will have an idea.
