Hello, I need quick help

I got 3 TVs in the house
1) Philips HDTV (with tuner)
2) Westinghouse HDTV (with no tuner)
3) cheap SDTV

Two Dish Network receivers, one HD DVR, second SD DVR.

HD DVR is connected in the same room as Philips HDTV, used for Picture-in-Picture.

Now the SD DVR, is located upstairs in beedroom connected to the SDTV. A single Coaxial cable goes downstairs to the Westinghouse HDTV.

Here is the problem, Westinghouse has no tuner, I can't connect coaxial to it.

What solution could i use?
Could i use something like this? http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-DTBH260F-HDTV-Terrestrial-Receiver/dp/B000JV6TQY
to convert the Coaxial cable from Dishnetwork DVR to Component?

Please help.

I believe the coaxial output is standard def so an HDTV tuner wouldn't help.

You could use a standard def demodulator, such as in a an old VCR if you're satisfied with a standard def signal. But if you want a HD picture on the Westinghouse you'll need to run an HDMI cable or a set of Component cables. You can buy splitters for the HDMI or component so you can run both the Philips and the Westinghoulse from the same signal.

Welcome to the forum.

Yep, it sounds like you're definitely not going to get what you want with your current setup (audio/video output over coax is most definitely not HD, and is in fact one of the worst ways to get audio/video from a STB/DVR to a TV).

It would help if we knew the *exact* models of all the equipment in question to see what your options are (e.g., Dish Player-DVR 625 for SD, Dish ViP722 for HD, Philips 52PFL7432D HDTV, etc.). And what the current connections are--for example, if you're using HDMI to connect the HD DVR to the Philips HDTV.

If you want HD on both the Philips and the Westy, as noted, you're either going to have to get dual HD outputs from that HD DVR (e.g., HDMI out into a 1x2 HDMI distribution amp and snake an HDMI cable down to the Westy) or look into getting a 2nd HD DVR for the Westy (assuming the single coax running to the Westy can be plugged into the sat switch, etc.).
