I may have drained too much glycol on one of my tubes. Does anyone have a picture of what an image looks like with too much glycol drained?
I posted about not being able to dial in my green tube not long ago, and thinking back, I'm not sure that i've had it 100% since I drained them.

Presuming its an air-coupled crt you have (an XG75 I think), here's a link to a pic of what you should be seeing if you drained the CORRECT amount ; http://www.curtpalme.com/Bleeding_CRT_Tubes3.shtm
Might be worth a read of the whole article.

Yea that is the guide I followed. It is an xg75.
The green tube I just cannot get dialed in properly. It was fine before I drained the tubes - I'm thinking that either the pins where it plugs in are corroded/damaged or that I may have drained too much glycol. There is a bubble like that but it may be just a little too big.
It's weird because when you look at the internal test pattern with all the lines (crosshatch) it looks pretty good, but the H pattern and when it's actually projecting picture there is like green outline - especially noticeable around white text.

You can always put more glycol back in until it looks more like whats in the link. I'd doubt the reduced glycol level that you have would cause the problem you are seeing but if too much is drained then bad things will indeed happen.
Sounds more like a focus issue, have you could try re-focusing the pj perhaps? Anyone else got any ideas on this?

I will.. I'm waiting to get the glycol shipped to me and also for my dad to have a free day where he can help me get the projector down from the ceiling.
I'm going to clean the pins where the tube gets pushed in as well - is isopropyl alcohol a good choice for this or should I use something else?
