I'm looking to cover my screen wall in black fabric panels (surrounding my fixed frame screen).

I received my samples today from FabricMate. FR701 Black looks a little like burlap to me and a bit see-through. The Anchorage Onyx on the other hand looks quite well with possibly one exception - is there a bit of a shine to it?

Questions: is anyone here using Anchorage Onyx on their screen wall? How does it look when light is projected on the screen? I'm about to pull the trigger, but just thought I would check for opinions first.

Dazian is out, as I can't seem to get samples shipped.

Many thanks,
rob

Anchorage onyx is what the panels surrounding my screen are covered in. No shine at all. Pull the trigger.

Anchorage is nice stuff... just don't put your speakers behind it.

I used the black FR701 for the black panels and overhead panel in my theaters front end. It's so black that with my lighting I can't tell what the surface texture looks like. It's never been an issue.

Thanks BigMouth. I've seen pictures of your setup and it looks very nice.

I used Anchorage on my walls, but my columns, stage/proscenium are all done in FR701 black. There is no see-through or shine on the FR701. I'm very happy with the outcome.
