Greetings,

I just received my FR701 Black and im ready to install on my 32"x48" Pine Wood Frames. I just need some advice on whats the best strategy for installing it without getting any wrinkles or stretch marks. Where should I start? Middle, Bottom? Top?

My frames are about 3/4 " thick and im planning on attaching them to my stage with velcro.

Also, what stapler can I use? Would a regular office stapler work? - Sorry Noob question..

Thanks

Google stretching artist canvases it will have the sequence to minimize puckers. Basically 12,6,3,9,1,7,10, 4 etc. You do the cross then work out to the corners.

A good hand stapler (not a paper stapler) will probably work but having used over 30,000 staples in my build, I found a compressor powered upholstery stapler a breeze. ($80 ish)

Also beware of the electric staplers than can be a pain to get to work right for this application some have had success, I did not.

+1. Do yourself a favor and just get one.

I tried an electric. No good as already said here. I ultimately used a nice hand unit from Stanley, but would rent a pneumatic next time.

Given the constraints of life I couldn't do all my stretching in one sitting; I was perfectly happy with a classic Arrow T50 stapler. Just do a couple frames every night.

Home Theater DIY Commandment # 6: Thou Shalt Buy a Pnuematic Stapler.

One thing... you mentioned attaching frames with Velcro? Just makes sure you build your frames well enough to allow stretching the material without hte frames bowing. Might need some good amount of Velcro to hold them up...

I tried the Arrow T50, but within an hour I was heading to the home improvement store to get a pnuematic. With the amount of stapling to do the entire room, getting the pnuematic with the best thing for me.
