I just bought a new tv, and am moving my current set (Sony 50E3000) into the sun room. Being in New York, this sun room is going to get really cold in the winter. Obviously the set will be shielded from the elements, but the temperature will be freezing all winter.

I'm not going to watch the tv at all while it's cold, but is storing it in the cold for a prolonged period safe?


And on an unrelated note, I've noticed a slight rainbow band start to pop up at the top of the picture, and it looks like one is creeping up from the bottom as well. It's not bad yet, but noticeable when the right picture is on the screen. Is this a sign that the bulb starting to go?
