hey guys, this just started the other night on my 60gb PS3.

while watching a DVD, when there is an explosion, or a big lightning blast or something like that. my TV blacks out (like when changing resolutions) then comes back, to a screen that is all jumbled, purple lines across it, etc.

i exit out of the dvd into the XMB, and its fine. go back into the movie and its perfect, until another bright explosion-like scene. havent tried it with a BD yet, and didnt have any issues while playing the force unleashed??


only thing i have done recently is partition the HDD and install ubuntu??

any ideas?
