i don't have pictures so i will do my best to describe. my tv is located in the basement (not sure if that matters) in the corner. i am trying to decide if i should mount the front speakers on the wall on each side of the corner or if i should mount them on the wall on one side. the rear speakers are mounted on the back wall and not the back corner.

so, option A is to have the front and rear speakers mounted on opposite walls with the tv in the corner. option B is to have the front speakers mounted in the corner, behind and to the sides of the tv and the rear speakers mounted on the wall.

i know that sounds confusing but if anyone can offer some advice i would greatly appreciate it.

When you have an irregular layout you are just going to have to wing it. What you describe in option A sounds fine.
