I recently got an Ideal Lume Standard from CinemaQuest for use with my PZ50u. While it certainly improves the viewing experience, I find I have to open the baffle up all the way to make a noticeable light "blob" on the wall behind the TV. The is because the wall behind isn't white or gray - it's actually a kind of a diagonal "barn board" wood. It just soaks up the light. So, when I open the baffle up all the way, it ends up reflecting on the ceiling above and lighting up half the room.
Has anybody ever experimented with putting a white or grayscale backing behind their TV? Maybe some kind of board or heavy construction paper? Tearing down the barn board isn't an option right now.
