I have Nuvo GC but in one of the zones I would like the option to use a local source, like plug in my computer or MP3 player.

I know I would need to amplify the local source.

I have looked around a bit but have not found the right way to do this yet.

Does anyone have suggestions for how this should be done?

What about the Nuvo Local Source accessory for Concerto? The diagram shows the older Concerto, but it would seem to me it should work with the Grand as well.
