Looking at some of the screen wall builds on this site makes me think some of you guys are master carpenters. The extent of my carpentry skills extend to painting walls or hanging a screen. I want to convert this wall (11 feet wide, 9 feet tall) into a screen wall:

Ideally this screen wall should contain the screen and speakers. Step by step directions would be very appreciated. Even better if someone has done this and documented it with photos a link would be great.

Maybe this can become the official thread for newbie screen wall builders like myself!

That's a great link!

I'm cheating, of sorts, on my wall... should have it together in a couple of weeks. I am using towers from an entertainment center, and framing off of the ends of those to make my screen space (probably a shadow-box, we'll see). I got the thing off of craigslist for a couple of hundred and I'm hoping it gives the entire screen wall a finished look, and a style that goes along with the rest of the room.
