My A/V equipment is in an upstairs room, but I want to send audio/video to a 1080P Plasma in a bedroom that's 50+ ft away, and be able to use an IR remote in the bedroom to control the system. I've found this (http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=CE-HM0051-S1) but the instructions call for the IR signal to go the opposite direction. Also, my AV source only has 1 HDMI output, so I'd need an IR controllable splitter to divert the signal from the main TV upstairs. Don't suppose there's 1 box that does it all...? Any other thoughts? Appreciate any help you might be able to give, thanks!

I believe you misunderstood. It says "Controls source devices from the remote side instantly". This means you have IR control of the A/V equipment from the TV (receiver) end. It would make no sense to have the IR go in the opposite direction. It has a blaster IR emitter that you tape close to the device you're controlling.

To split the HDMI you will need a 1:2 HDMI splitter such as http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10113&cs_id=1011301&p_id=4921&seq=1&format=2. The splitter outputs two signals simultaneously so it needs no control.
